Mistidawn was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas, and has proudly called it home for over 35 years. She grew up in a small Spanish Mennonite church and became part of BCF Church at 18, where she’s been faithfully serving for 17 years.

Her relationship with Jesus became personal when she was 18 and expecting her oldest son. Mistidawn is married to Devin, BCF’s Worship Director, and together they have a beautiful blended family with seven children and four grandchildren.

Her first language was Spanish, and she didn’t learn English until age seven. She loves the outdoors, trying new foods, traveling, and collecting cacti and indoor plants. Mistidawn has a passion for nurturing young hearts and minds and strives to live out 1 Corinthians 13:1—leading with love in all she does.
