The Unseen War – The Fight of Our Lives
Part Two: Ambush
February 16, 2025

“For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world.”
(Ephesians 6:12, New Living Translation)

HOW DO WE RESPOND TO SATAN’S AMBUSH?

  1. Get to Know Satan’s Schemes.

“So that Satan will not outsmart us. For we are familiar with his evil schemes.”
(2 Corinthians 2:11, NLT)

“Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith.”
(1 Peter 5:8–9, NLT)

  1. Deploy God’s “Secret Weapons”:

“Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.”
(Ephesians 4:2, NLT)

  1. Humility
Thinking of others as more important than yourself.
“Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.”
    (Philippians 2:3, NLT)
  2. Gentleness
Showing concern and consideration for the feelings of others — even when they don’t deserve it!
“If another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path.”
    (Galatians 6:1, NLT)
  3. Patience
Willing to endure suffering for a long time. Trusting God to change the situation at just the right time.
“We give great honor to those who endure under suffering. For instance, you know about Job, a man of great endurance. You can see how the Lord was kind to him at the end, for the Lord is full of tenderness and mercy.”
    (James 5:11, NLT)
  4. Love
Putting the needs of others before your own.
“Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.”
    (Colossians 3:14, NLT)
  1. Make Every Effort to Stay United with God’s People.

“Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.”
(Ephesians 4:3, NLT)
