WHAT CAN I EXPECT WHEN I FAST FOR GOD'S DIRECTION?

Expect to hear the enemy's voice and expect to be tempted.
"The devil came and said to him, 'If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become loaves of bread.'"
(Matthew 4:3, New Living Translation, 2nd Ed.)

Expect to be uncomfortable!
"The people of Nineveh believed God. They called for a fast and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them to the least of them."
(Jonah 3:5, English Standard Version)

Expect God's direction.
"In all [your] ways acknowledge [God], And he will direct [your] paths."
(Proverbs 3:6, American Standard Version)

HOW WILL GOD DIRECT YOU?

1. God will direct you through his Word.
2. God will direct you through His people.
   "Refuse good advice and watch your plans fail; take good counsel and watch them succeed."
   (Proverbs 15:22, The Message)
3. God's peace will confirm His direction.
   "Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."
   (Philippians 4:6-7, NLT2)
