Patty has deep roots in Brownsville, where she’s been part of the Brownsville Community Fellowship family since 2004, after a missionary neighbor invited her to youth group. It was while serving at BCF that Patty met Carey, and they fell in love through their shared commitment to faith and ministry. Now married for 10 years, they returned to Brownsville in 2022 after spending five years in the San Antonio area, to be closer to and support their families. In January 2024, Patty embraced the role of Children’s Director at BCF, a position she holds dear because it allows her to serve the community she loves.
With over 15 years of experience in non-profits leadership, family and children’s ministry, Patty is passionate about creating meaningful and engaging programs for children and families. Her own faith journey, marked by overcoming significant life challenges, has given her a heart for family restoration. Patty gave her life to Christ at a youth camp in 2006 and was baptized in 2007, finding strength and hope through her involvement at BCF. Her healing process through Celebrate Recovery as a teen and adult has deepened her understanding of God’s grace and forgiveness, which shapes the way she leads today and helped restore bonds in her family.
As Children’s Director, Patty is dedicated to fostering a loving and nurturing environment where children can grow in their faith and experience God’s love. Her passion for helping families break generational cycles of pain drives her to serve with a heart full of purpose, believing that God uses every story for His greater plan. Her love for her family, her faith, and her community shines through her work.
