Chris Croy

Chris Croy was born in Montana and moved to Texas at age 7. He grew up in a non-religious household where God and Jesus were never discussed. In 1999, Chris joined the United States Border Patrol, during which time he became so confident in his atheism, that  he believed that religion was invented in order to control people and therefore held a low opinion of anyone who held any sort of religious belief.

In 2016, Chris's life took a significant turn when his wife Jessica brought him to see the movie God's Not Dead 2. A scene featuring retired Cold Case Detective Jay Warner Wallace, a former atheist turned Christian, captured Chris's attention. Wallace mentioned that he became a Christian because it was "evidentially true," which challenged Chris's own assumptions about faith and evidence.

Chris realized that if there was no God, he could just keep living the way he always had. But if there was real evidence thatJesus came back to life, he would need to seriously rethink everything he believed about Christianity. Chris didn't want to be dishonest with himself, so he decided to look into it.

After months of investigation, Chris's skepticism gradually turned into an unexpected conviction. One evening, on a dirt road in the middle of nowhere, Chris found himself on his knees, fully surrendering his life and placing it completely in God's hands.

Since then, Chris has dedicated himself to not just sharing his faith, but to teaching others how to share and defend their own faith emphasizing an evidence-based approach, drawing from his own journey from skepticism to belief.
